Our Story
It all began with three visions.
Amy
I am originally from South Africa, now living in Sydney, married and working in a marketing job. I enjoy my work, but my passion lies in Radiance. The reason why is because the program is focused on mentoring teenage girls.
I have had a heart to see teenage girls reach their full potential ever since I was one. Many of the teenage girls I meet are missing a sparkle in their eyes. They don’t feel loved or worth anything, and this is the reason why Radiance is my top priority. I believe this program has the structure and processes in place to help these girls find an inner confidence and a love for themselves, and once they love and respect themselves, they will in turn respect others.
The first time I truly believed this program was going to have a great influence over many girls was at the end of the first program, at the princess dinner. Not only did many of the girls express to us how much they loved the program and will treasure the experience, but many of the parents thanked us, as The Radiance Program really brought about a change in their daughters.
Steph
I am a local Gold Coast girl, newly married and working as a full-time school chaplain. I love my work and am fortunate enough to work with teenage girls and speak into their lives daily. I have also studied a degree in nutrition and am passionate about the overall health of our bodies in every facet. The Radiance Program began after seeking out a way to help young girls, and crossing paths with two other like minded young women in my church. I love to see the girls begin to come out of their shells as they discover more about themselves and I am enthused to see the girls building stronger relationships and building each other up. I believe that this program will fill in the gaps where a clear voice is missing for many young girls.
Tamsen
I have always had a passion and a heart for teenage girls. Steph, Amy and myself explored the possibilities of giving back.
What I love most is the ability to be a sounding board for these young women during some of their most influential years.
I believe we live in a world where girls are forced to grow up too soon and make decisions without perspective on the outcomes of those decisions.
Radiance is an absolute passion for me as it allows the girls to feel special, open up and find their own inner confidence and uniqueness. It gives them the opportunity just to stop and step away from where the world is guiding them and help them to make their own positive choices.
